Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Written to be read rather than skimmed. It covers what this website collects, why, who else sees it, how long it is kept, and what you can ask me to do about it.
Effective: October 12, 2026 · Last updated: October 12, 2026 · Applies to: ian-lacovara.com
A note while this is being finalized
This policy is under review by counsel, and section 11 is marked where a decision about which privacy laws apply is still outstanding. Nothing on this page is legal advice to you.
The short version
I never sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anybody. There is no arrangement under which that happens.
This site collects very little. There are no accounts, no logins and no payments taken here. If you do not contact me, what is collected is analytics about the visit.
Third-party components do load. The contact form and booking calendars are embedded from another service, and they set their own cookies. Analytics and web fonts come from Google.
You can ask me to delete what I hold. Email and I will do it, whether or not a law requires me to.
This summary is for convenience. The numbered sections below are the policy.

1. Who we are
This website is operated by Ian M Lacovara. Services described on it are provided by I Ninja LLC, by Ninja Credit Consultants LLC, or by Ian M Lacovara directly, depending on the work. For anything about this policy, write to ianl@i-ninja-llc.com.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers ian-lacovara.com only. Our other websites have their own policies, and any third-party site you reach from a link here is governed by whatever that site does.
In plain terms: if you become a client, the handling of your information during that work is covered by the agreement for that work, which goes further than this page.
3. Information we collect
Information you give us
If you use the contact form, book a call, or email, you may provide your name, email address, phone number, business name, and whatever you choose to write in your message. You decide how much to include. The only thing I actually need is a way to reply.
Information collected automatically
When you visit, standard technical information is recorded: pages viewed, approximate city or region derived from your network address, device type, browser and operating system, the site or search that sent you, and the time of the visit. The hosting provider also keeps ordinary server logs, including network addresses, as part of running and securing the site.
What is not collected here
This site has no accounts, no logins and no payment processing. Nothing is bought on it. There is no live chat widget, nothing is recorded, and no profile is built about you across other websites.
4. How we use information
- To reply to you, and to continue a conversation you started.
- To arrange and keep appointments you book.
- To understand which pages are useful, so the site gets better rather than longer.
- To keep the site working and to deal with abuse, errors and security problems.
- To meet legal, tax and record-keeping obligations where they apply.
If you contact me about a service, I may follow up about that conversation. You can tell me to stop at any time and that is the end of it.
5. Cookies and analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages get read. It sets cookies and tells me aggregate things: how many people came, from where, which pages they looked at. It does not tell me who you are.
The site also loads web fonts from Google. As a technical consequence of loading a file from another server, your network address is visible to Google when that happens, which is true of every site that loads fonts that way.
Your choices
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works without them.
- Install Google's own analytics opt-out browser add-on, which stops Google Analytics on every site, not only this one.
- Use private browsing, which discards cookies when you close the window.
6. Embedded forms and booking calendars
The contact form and the booking calendars on this site are embedded from the business platform that runs our messaging and scheduling. When one of those loads, it operates inside a frame served by that provider and sets its own cookies, including for consent handling.
Anything you type into one of those goes to that platform and into our records there. The platform is contracted to process that information on our behalf and not for its own purposes.
In plain terms: if you load a page with a form or a calendar on it, a third party is involved before you type anything. If you would rather avoid that entirely, email me instead.
7. Service providers
A small number of providers handle parts of this operation, each with access only to what their job requires:
- Hosting and infrastructure, which stores the site and keeps server logs.
- The business platform that powers messaging, forms and scheduling, and holds what you send through them.
- Analytics, currently Google Analytics.
- Email, which carries correspondence between us.
Information may also be disclosed where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
8. What we never do
- Sell your personal information. There is no arrangement under which this happens, and there never has been.
- Share it with advertisers or data brokers.
- Use what you tell me as an example without asking you first, including in talks, posts or case studies.
- Add you to a mailing list because you filled in a contact form. Those are different things.
9. How long we keep information
Correspondence is kept while a conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterward, in case you come back. Records connected to actual work are kept as long as the engagement and any legal, tax or professional requirement needs, which is usually several years. Analytics data is retained according to the settings of the analytics provider.
If you want something deleted sooner, ask. If a legal obligation means part of it has to stay, I will tell you which part and why.
10. Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection, access to the underlying accounts is restricted, and providers are chosen partly on how seriously they take this. No system is perfectly secure and anybody who tells you otherwise is selling something.
If something goes wrong
If a breach happens that affects your information, you will be told what happened, what was involved and what is being done, as promptly as the facts allow.
11. Your choices and rights
Regardless of where you live or which law applies, you can ask me to:
- tell you what personal information I hold about you;
- correct anything inaccurate or out of date;
- delete what I hold, except where a legal obligation requires part of it to be kept;
- stop contacting you.
Email ianl@i-ninja-llc.com and say which. I will not make you jump through hoops, and you will not be treated differently for asking.
California residents. California law gives residents rights to know what is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. There is nothing to opt out of here, because none of it is sold or shared for advertising. The rights listed above are offered to everybody as a matter of practice.
Which privacy statutes actually apply to this operation has not been settled. The thresholds in the California Consumer Privacy Act, and whether obligations arise under European rules for visitors from there, are being reviewed by counsel. Rather than claim compliance with a specific statute before that is confirmed, this section grants the substantive rights to everyone who asks.
12. Children and young people
This site is intended for business owners and is not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect information from anybody under 18. If you believe a child has sent me information, write to me and it will be deleted.
13. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated. When it is, the effective date at the top of the page changes. Material changes will be described rather than slipped in, and the current version is always the one published here.
14. How to contact us
Questions, requests and complaints about privacy go to ianl@i-ninja-llc.com. You can also use the contact page, although if your concern is specifically about the embedded form, email is the more sensible route.
